Policies & FAQ

Initial Appointment
It is strongly suggested that initial appointments with new clients are at least 90 minutes long so Dr. Christina can do an intake and get to know you and your unique situation. All appointments for new clients require prepayment. Sessions must be pre-paid at least 24 hours before your appointment. To schedule, contact Christina. You can then pay for your appointment under the Prices and Payment tab.  If you do not prepay 24 hours in advance, your appointment may be canceled.

Face to Face, Phone, and Webcam Appointments with Established Clients
All appointments for all clients require prepayment. Sessions must be pre-paid at least 24 hours before your appointment. To schedule, contact Christina. You can then pay for your appointment under the Prices and Payment tab. If you do not prepay 24 hours in advance, your appointment may be canceled. Christina does not take payments at the time of your appointment. This is to reduce last-minute cancellations and no call/no shows. If you are a high-risk client, for example, someone that consistently cancels and reschedules, is undependable, etc., Christina may require you to pay for your session at the time of booking in order to confirm your appointment.

Dr. Christina is available by appointment only at 1310 Wisconsin Ave in Sheboygan, WI. She does not take walk-in clients or walk-in appointments. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for your appointment to ensure Dr. Christina is ready for you. There are nearby coffee shops and restaurants if you arrive to the area earlier than you expected.

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy
All appointments and classes require at least a 24 hour notice for cancellation or rescheduling. If you cancel an appointment less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, you will forfeit your payment/fee. If you cancel a class less then 24 hours before the scheduled class start time, your payment is non-transferable and non-refundable. Reminder calls and emails are available. Please do not schedule an appointment or register for a class unless you have the intent to attend. If you cancel an appointment before the 24 hour time frame and had already prepaid for your appointment/class, there is a $10 service charge for refunding/rescheduling your payment. If you consistently schedule and reschedule your appointments, Christina may refuse to see you since you are unable to commit.

No Call-No Show/Missed Appointment Policy
If you fail to call or email and cancel your appointment or class before the start time and do not show up, you will be billed and invoiced for the entire amount of your scheduled class or appointment with payment due immediately. If you prepaid for your class or appointment, you will forfeit your payment. That means if you had a 60 min appointment scheduled and you were a no call/no show you will be billed $100. Not calling and not showing up is incredibly inconsiderate and rude! Reminder calls and emails are available.

Arriving Late
Appointment and class times have been arranged specifically for you. If you arrive late to your appointment, your session may be shortened to end at the originally scheduled time to accommodate appointments scheduled after yours. Depending on how late you arrive, we may determine that there is not enough time to complete your class or appointment. Regardless, you are responsible for the payment of the full session that was originally scheduled.

 Class Cancellation Policy
All scheduled group classes have a minimum class participant requirement. If less than the minimum are registered for a class, the class may be canceled or rescheduled for a future date by Christina at her discretion.

The Right to Refuse Service
Mind, Soul, and Self /Christina Wilke-Burbach reserves the right to refuse services, classes, and consultation at her discretion at any time based upon the client’s conditions, practitioner’s skill set or education, client attitude or action, etc., without explanation or prior notice. This will especially be enforced if you are rude, difficult to deal with, or inappropriate to Christina or to her clients (in a group setting).

I don’t know what services would be most beneficial for me. How can I find out?
Since I am a holistic healing facilitator, I blend multiple services together to treat your mind, body, and soul. Services may differ slightly from person to person based on your unique and personal needs, but almost always combine energywork, personal growth work, chakra psychology, aromatherapy, mind/body techniques, and natural health consultation. I can be contacted via phone or email with any initial questions or concerns you might have.

I don’t know how long of an appointment to make.
90 minutes is strongly suggested for initial appointments so I can get to know you and your unique situation. For subsequent appointments, at least 60 minutes is recommended. Longer appointments (90 minutes to 2 hours) are beneficial for more comprehensive appointments. 30 minutes is appropriate for follow ups, intuitive readings, and energywork tune-ups.

Do you take insurance?
No I am sorry, I do not take insurance. Self pay only.

I see you specialize in Women’s Wellness. Do you accept men?
I absolutely DO accept men for classes and healing appointments. However, women’s holistic health and wellness are my specialties and my scope of practice.

What are some of the reasons people might make an appointment with you?
I specialize in emotional and spiritual concerns while looking at how the whole person interacts and influences well-being (mind, body, spirit, energy, environment, social). I can best serve women with chronic stress, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, life changes, feeling lost and/or unbalanced, and individuals seeking wellness, their life purpose, transformation, enlightenment, spiritual development, and personal growth.

What about drapery in bodywork?
 All services are clothes on.

Do you offer therapeutic massage?
No,  I am sorry I do not. Though therapeutic massage is very relaxing and beneficial for many health conditions, it is not in my scope of practice.  I am a holistic practitioner who believes the root cause of stress and health conditions is often energy imbalances, hence all the forms of energywork I practice: Reiki, Chakra Work, Acupressure, Light Body, Reflexology, etc. My personal opinion is that energywork is often just as relaxing if not more relaxing than massage and can get to the root cause of your problem and help you heal.
